Matahari tepat atas tropika punca cuaca panas

KUALA LUMPUR 29 April - Jabatan Meteorologi menjelaskan, keadaan cuaca panas dengan suhu tertinggi 36 darjah Celsius sepanjang bulan ini berikutan musim peralihan monsun.

Pada masa yang sama, orang ramai diminta supaya lebih berhati-hati dalam melakukan aktiviti di luar di samping minum lebih banyak air bagi mengelak masalah kekurangan air dalam badan.

Kenyataan jabatan itu di sini hari ini memberitahu, sepanjang musim yang berlaku pada setiap April tersebut, kebiasaannya cuaca panas pada sebelah pagi tetapi hujan dan ribut petir ketika lewat petang dan malam.

Menurutnya, berdasarkan bacaan yang direkodkan dari 1 April sehingga semalam di 40 stesen meteorologi, terdapat hari-hari yang menunjukkan beberapa stesen mencatatkan suhu maksimum.

Tambah kenyataan itu, suhu tertinggi direkodkan ialah 36.1 darjah Celsius di Stesen Meteorologi Petaling Jaya pada 17 dan 18 April lalu.

''Keadaan cuaca panas dan kering dari pertengahan April disebabkan perubahan tiupan arah angin dari timur ke barat.

''Kedudukan matahari yang tepat dalam kawasan tropika menyebabkan suhu menjadi panas pada hari-hari tiada hujan,'' tambah kenyataan itu.

Menurut kenyataan itu, suhu tertinggi yang pernah direkodkan sejak 1968 ialah 40.1 darjah Celsius di Stesen Meteorologi Chuping pada 9 April 1998, iaitu pada tahun berlakunya fenomena El Nino.

Jabatan itu juga memberitahu, mulai Mei hingga September ini, negara akan mengalami Monsun Barat Daya yang mana lazimnya cuaca lebih kering berbanding bulan-bulan lain tetapi dengan suhu normal antara 30.7 dan 34.1 darjah Celsius.

Final Day- Sabah Tourism Board

Life is never been so good as good as my life. I considered my life blessed with full of laughter and joy. This time, I would like to showcase some of my final day during my service at Sabah Tourism Board (STB- Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Environment Sabah) for the past 1.5 years before I resigned (afterwards join UiTM Sabah)

Joined STB as a practical student in 2007 did aroused my interest in tourism (particularly in tourism marketing). I did learned a lot of the beautiful places in my State (Sabah, Land Below the Wind) which I never know it exist here.

After completed my internship with STB, I'd joined a private company for about 5 months before I was offered a temporary post as a Trainee. Been trained for about 4 months, I was officially offered the post of Assistant Product Research Manager, which is responsible to take care of all the tourism products in Sabah.

It is true that our Certificates are just passport for us to get a good job. This job is totally out of what I'd learned during my college days. But, I was lucky for all the soft skills which I possesses. I'm able to complete all the tasks successfully with the training provided by my bosses, Mr. Allen Chia and Mdm. Halimah Hj. Hassan.

Ok..enough with that...Let's watch some pictures..shall we????? By the way, thanks boss Allen for the wonderful food. Lain kali belanja lagi arrr boss.....

TEAM WORK COUNTS IN REAL

I had a chance to teached my students the value of real working experience through my class teaching. Really hope the students understand the meaning of it....I bet they realized bout it cause my students are BRILLIANT.

The facilitator divided the students in a group of 4-6. Each students are given a piece of paper. They are required to combine the paper into one big piece of paper which contain their future company logo. Opps..forgot to tell you..The theme of this assignment is Agricultural Industry.

Students are not allowed to combine their paper before they settle with their logo. So, this require a strong teamwork and effective communication among all the member.

Yippy....What a good trip ya guys...The story started when most of my students are stress with the overloaded workload. It can be seen directly from their expression during and after class.

This Island trip focuses on 2 objectives:

a) To re-motivate students to stay active both internal and extenal in the University. Especially my subject: Principle of Management.

b) To maintain the relationship as a FRIEND rather than a LECTURER. I believed FRIEND teach even better than a LECTURER. (I am a lecturer by the way)

Student's life is just great. I missed my college days. Seeing my students happy and enjoy attending my class makes me feels like home.

The Hua..Hua..Hua activity which I had in my classes (DIB & DBS) several weeks ago remind me how important FOCUS element in every aspect of our life. The HUA..HUA..HUA although seems funny to everyone, but the element (if fully master) can bring changes in life. For example, if I focus on a thing/subject (normally the important one), I will project it on my face (eyebrow like super-saiya)

In a presentation session, focus can help you to catch some important facts:

a) Interested listener

b) Bored listener

c) To increase AURA of your own presentation

d) To give feedback effectively

e) etc...etc...etc...(So many advantages of focus...u name it)

Hahaha..it's pretty funny when I myself don't know the reason for me to buy this CD (actually 2 CD and 1 DVD).

Maybe because of the packaging that is so unique. White calor with a funny face cartoon. Well, I can say the price is reasonable too....RM39.90.

My favourites will be I'm yours, Lucky(feat Colbie Caillat) and If It Kills me...wow...Power....No regret of this CD's at all.

Creativity and Innovation is the RULES of the game

A lot of people are so afraid of doing business. Not because of $$MONEY$$..it's all about the competition available in the market. Customer nowadays are smart..they look at creativity of a business to serve their needs and wants...not forgetting innovation in creation of products and services.

With that reason, my recent classes (DIBG1&2/ DBSG2) were assigned with a group project which had stimulated their teamwork spirit, creativity and innovation. I can considered my objective of learning was succesfully acheived; as all the teams presented a good idea that day.

Theme of the presentation : The Agricultural Industry

Each group were given 10-15 minutes to present their company. The company that they presented was totally a new company. Let the pictures tell you the story:

Bukit Antarabangsa: Pengajaran kali ke-2 untuk rakyat Malaysia.

Semenjak insiden tanah runtuh di Bukit Antarabangsa, semakin ramai orang mempertikaikan kredibiliti PBT dalam melaksanakan tugas yang telah diamanahkan. Namun sehingga kini, tidak ada satu pihak pun yang tampil bagi mengakui kesilapan mereka.

Majlis Perbandaran Ampang Jaya (MPAJ) selaku Pihak Berkuasa Tempatan (PBT) semakin terdesak bagi mencari penyelesaian yang membelenggu para penduduk di sekitar kawasan Bukit Antarabangsa (dan yang terbaru di Hulu Klang) memandangkan projek-projek perumahan di kawasan cerun masih lagi diteruskan walaupun arahan keras Perdana Menteri, Datuk Seri Abdullah Badawi untuk menghentikan kesemua projek-projek lereng bukit.

Rakus: Usaha bagi meratakan kawasan bukit masih diteruskan di kawasan Hulu Klang.

Persoalannya, apakah arahan keras PM ini dipandang sinis oleh PBT berkenaan? Bagaimanakah kelulusan bagi membina kawasan perumahan di cerun bukit diluluskan sedangkan sudah ada amaran keras untuk menghentikan projek sedemikian? Apakah keuntungan jutaan wang ringgit ini lebih bernilai daripada nyawa manusia?

Demonstrasi para penduduk Taman Hijau terhadap sebarang projek pembangunan tanah tinggi.

Di sebalik tangisan dan rintihan para mangsa kejadian tanah runtuh Bukit Antarabangsa, MPAJ menafikan memberi kelulusan kepada projek-projek pembangunan di Bukit Bendera. Melalui PRO, Norhayati Ahmad, projek tersebut sebenarnya telah diluluskan oleh pihak Majlis Daerah Gombak pada tahun 1980-an sebelum tertubuhnya MPAJ. Sekiranya dikatakan demikian, kenapakah(pada masa kini) masih banyak aktiviti meratakan kawasan tanah tinggi di sekitar kawasan tersebut?

Kepada para bakal pembeli, jadikan Highland Towers dan Bukit Antarabangsa sebagai satu pengajaran berguna. Sahutlah seruan Gabungan Persatuan Pengguna Malaysia (FOMCA) bagi memboikot semua pembangunan hartanah di cerun bukit kerana ia cara paling berkesan untuk menghentikan projek-projek seperti itu pada masa depan. Sekiranya kita masih berdegil maka:

"Setinggi-tinggi rumah di Bukit, tetap sehari menyembah Bumi"

My journey..Part 1

Please don't get me wrong, just wanted to share some of my experience..not more than private life..

Well, the story begins with......It has been 5 months now since I left my previous organisation. Well, I can considered myself as a super dupper lucky person for being able to work in different industry before I decided to stay with Education.

Ever since I was a child, I've been dreaming of becoming a successful policeman. But, it just that I'm too short and eye-sight problem that disallowed me to become a policeman. (Luckily I'm not, otherwise....)

I started to work since I was 16 due to my determination of getting my own money (with my own effort). The experience of working hard for a penny teached me how difficult life could be without good education. I then continued my Diploma in one of the local Uni in Sabah. I believed a good education will enhance my carier in such a way that I planned before, and yes, I did. Just after a short while of completed my Diploma, I'd decided to pursue to an even higher level.

With a newly obtained transcript and scrool, I started to hunt/searching my destiny. I ended up in the medical industry, working as Customer Service Assistant. Watching patience in-out the hospital helped me to understand sick people better. But, the Sister (Head of Nursing) consistently remided me don't ever get too close with a patient. She was right, a healthy uncle (in his mid-40's) 2 days ago may suddenly leave the world without saying goodbye. These incidents happened to me several times.

I remembered one patient from one of the interior part who came to the hospital after been referred by the Government's hospital. I didn't know what makes me wanted to get close to this lady. But, I just did. One day, I had a visit to her bed. She was eating something. (Lunch maybe). "My God....Apa yang auntie makan ni", my natural responsed after watching the food she ate. It was actually "nasi basi" and some "lauk". My tears suddenly droped without realizing it. "Auntie lapar bah ni...ni nasi sa bawa dari rumah", the little auntie replied. I just didn't know what to do but I quickly took the "nasi basi" away from her. No one on earth deserved to be treated such way.

For the past 3 days, I've never failed to sent her "tapau" from the canteen. (Steam rice with fresh "lauk" just for her). I guess this is what Sister's is trying to tell me, but until now I'm still searching the meaning for it.

"Terima Kasih anak"....this word means a lot to me. The auntie actually hug me after she has succesfully undergone heart sugery. The satisfaction was great.....helping somebody in need does makes me a better person.

I remembered Oprah's did say this.."If we help somebody who is in need, the outcome that we will received is more than what we ever ask"..and I believe that...How about you?
