Cancellation of PUMS

Dear beloved students,

First of all, let me extend the gratitude of MEDEC Sabah for your kindness to registered as volunteer for this program.

We would like to inform that the program has been postponed to another date (which is not confirm yet) due to several unexpected problem.

Should there is any latest information, we will inform everyone as soon as possible. As for the time-being, we will keep your name in our list as the top priority person if the program is on.

Program Usahawan Muda Sabah (PUMS)

Calling all DPP's part 2 students (badge saiful, and arsy)

UiTM need your kind assistance for the Program Usahawan Muda Sabah organized by SEDCOVEST with the calloboration with UiTM Sabah. The participants are students from 45 schools all around Sabah (approx 250++ students)

Particulars are as below:

Date: 22-24th June 2009
Time: 8.00am-10.00am (preferably to stay in UiTM's hostel)
Venue: UiTM Hostel, Fast-track and Gym area.
Benefit: Hostel, Food, Knowledge and certificate of appreciation.

It is first come first serve basis. Only 20 students will be selected.

Matahari tepat atas tropika punca cuaca panas

PATUT LAH PANAS

KUALA LUMPUR 29 April - Jabatan Meteorologi menjelaskan, keadaan cuaca panas dengan suhu tertinggi 36 darjah Celsius sepanjang bulan ini berikutan musim peralihan monsun.

Pada masa yang sama, orang ramai diminta supaya lebih berhati-hati dalam melakukan aktiviti di luar di samping minum lebih banyak air bagi mengelak masalah kekurangan air dalam badan.

Kenyataan jabatan itu di sini hari ini memberitahu, sepanjang musim yang berlaku pada setiap April tersebut, kebiasaannya cuaca panas pada sebelah pagi tetapi hujan dan ribut petir ketika lewat petang dan malam.

Menurutnya, berdasarkan bacaan yang direkodkan dari 1 April sehingga semalam di 40 stesen meteorologi, terdapat hari-hari yang menunjukkan beberapa stesen mencatatkan suhu maksimum.

Tambah kenyataan itu, suhu tertinggi direkodkan ialah 36.1 darjah Celsius di Stesen Meteorologi Petaling Jaya pada 17 dan 18 April lalu.

''Keadaan cuaca panas dan kering dari pertengahan April disebabkan perubahan tiupan arah angin dari timur ke barat.

''Kedudukan matahari yang tepat dalam kawasan tropika menyebabkan suhu menjadi panas pada hari-hari tiada hujan,'' tambah kenyataan itu.

Menurut kenyataan itu, suhu tertinggi yang pernah direkodkan sejak 1968 ialah 40.1 darjah Celsius di Stesen Meteorologi Chuping pada 9 April 1998, iaitu pada tahun berlakunya fenomena El Nino.

Jabatan itu juga memberitahu, mulai Mei hingga September ini, negara akan mengalami Monsun Barat Daya yang mana lazimnya cuaca lebih kering berbanding bulan-bulan lain tetapi dengan suhu normal antara 30.7 dan 34.1 darjah Celsius.

Final Day- Sabah Tourism Board

Life is never been so good as good as my life. I considered my life blessed with full of laughter and joy. This time, I would like to showcase some of my final day during my service at Sabah Tourism Board (STB- Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Environment Sabah) for the past 1.5 years before I resigned (afterwards join UiTM Sabah)

Joined STB as a practical student in 2007 did aroused my interest in tourism (particularly in tourism marketing). I did learned a lot of the beautiful places in my State (Sabah, Land Below the Wind) which I never know it exist here.

After completed my internship with STB, I'd joined a private company for about 5 months before I was offered a temporary post as a Trainee. Been trained for about 4 months, I was officially offered the post of Assistant Product Research Manager, which is responsible to take care of all the tourism products in Sabah.

It is true that our Certificates are just passport for us to get a good job. This job is totally out of what I'd learned during my college days. But, I was lucky for all the soft skills which I possesses. I'm able to complete all the tasks successfully with the training provided by my bosses, Mr. Allen Chia and Mdm. Halimah Hj. Hassan.

Ok..enough with that...Let's watch some pictures..shall we????? By the way, thanks boss Allen for the wonderful food. Lain kali belanja lagi arrr boss.....
